Meet the maker
Meet Susie - Maker, Founder, Designer
I originally started making jewellery as a form of therapy to help manage chronic pain. I was advised to find a focused craft hobby that would give my brain something positive and intricate to concentrate on jewellery-making turned out to be the perfect distraction, and it quickly became a true passion.
Before long I had made far more pieces than I could possibly wear myself and had gifted jewellery to everyone I knew. A friend suggested I try selling my work, and that's how Ozita & Bobcat began. I started on market stalls which I still absolutely love and continue to do regularly across the Southeast and I'm now excited to expand online with this website.
Where the name comes from
Ozita & Bobcat a family love letter
Ozita & Bobcat is a heartfelt homage to my family.
My parents lived in Iran before I was born, and they fell in love with the country's stunning natural beauty and the wonderful people they met there
Ozita honours that special time and place. Bobcat is my affectionate nickname for my son. I have no idea where it came from, but nicknames have a funny way of sticking, don't they?
